Body of Our Late Queen Elizabeth II Flies Close Over Colne

If you looked up to the skies today at around 18.13 as I did, you may have seen the The Late Queen Elizebeth II body being flown close over Colne, Lancashire.

Looking to the West over Nelson and although high in the sky, it was surprisingly easy to spot the plane as it flew past. I had been tracking the C-17 plane on the website flightradar24 since it left Edinburgh airport.

Her journey had earlier begun in Edinburgh and her body was being flown back to Northolt, London on the approx. 1 hour flight. She was transported on the magnificent Royal Air Force aircraft C-17 flight KRF01R.

Like many others here and around the world I have watched the beautiful ceremonies and dignity shown all over Scotland to the death of our late Queen. So it was a great honour that I managed to get look at the plane as it flew past Colne. It was a very short, but captivating moment that I will remember forever in my heart.

God Bless her & thank you for the glorious times you have given us all

God Save The King
